Have you ever ended up with a open wound or cut that was slowly healing? First comes the cut or scrape, then comes the bleeding and as times passes the wound starts to heal and the scab process begins. Sometimes infections set in, we again injure the wound and other times healing comes forth with no complications.
In many ways the above is a perfect picture of heart wounds. Those deep wounds that life, life situations, disappointments, emotional traumas and people can inflict upon us. Many times we inflict the wounds ourselves through sins and the decisions that we make. Many times we re open the very same wounds over and over and over, and no true healing ever comes forth.
Just imagine all the situations, circumstances and even difficult situations that can lead to deeply rooted heart issues. A divorce, the lost of a relative, the loss of a child, the loss of a close friend, condemnation, guilt, childhood problems, being brought up in a dysfunctional family, disapointments, failures and so on. There are many, many, situations and circumstances that can deeply wound a person.
If you have deep wounds that have never healed, let me encourage you to seek Godly counsel through a local church, pastor or deliverance ministry. There are loving, kind, compassionate people within the body of Christ that God has anointed that can truly understand you're situation and help you.
